More security training

 Because you can never have too much security

There's more security training to do! This time, cybersecurity training. This time, phishing... I'll get my pole.

Well, at least it was semi-relevant, though boring. Had a test where some of the questions asked you to identify terms like Vishing, which is when they call you directly on the phone. I didn't know it had a name! And I'm certain that having to learn the name did absolutely nothing to help me not disclose my information!

Wasteful emails and notifications

I keep getting corporate-type emails discussing things like how well WK is doing or "Daily Digests", etc. I also get emails when people post things in Teams - Do I really need an additional "notification" in email for a chat?!? Teams already hounds me with notifications of action and messages. Finally, some team members enter their PTO in the calendar and "invite" me. Well, sure, I'd love to hang out with you during your PTO, but I'm sorry, I'm not in India right now! Stupid, interruptive, and wasteful.

When "East Coast Time" Becomes "Anytime" When I signed onto this contract, I agreed to align with East Coast hours. In the world of standard business, that’s a clear 9-to-5 frame—or for me on the West Coast, a manageable 6 AM to 2 PM. It’s an early start, but it’s a fair trade for synchronization. Lately, however, those boundaries have begun to dissolve into a 24/7 "always-on" expectation that is as exhausting as it is unproductive.
